the makeup show los angeles

I had so much fun at The Makeup Show LA last weekend. It's exciting to be around so many people who love makeup as much as I do! Below are some photos of my rainy day in downtown Los Angeles.

They had a Kevyn Aucoin Icon Gallery with many of the famous makeup artist, photographer, and author's personal tools and photos set up. It gave a glimpse into his clients, career, and the creation of his makeup line.

The highlight of the day though was getting to meet Ve Neill who has worked on everything from the original Star Trek movie to Hunger Games. I was fascinated by her keynote speech and only wished it could be longer. Successful & talented women in a male dominated industry are an absolute inspiration.

Last but not least! NARS was the first stop to beat the line, after that I went a little brush crazy. Let's face it, I don't exactly need more lipstick or eyeshadow... My plan is to review all of these (eventually!) once I've had a chance to use everything.
