nars china seas and kauai eyeshadow looks

As promised, here are some looks I've done with the new Spring 2014 NARS eyeshadow duos. You can see my review here.

China Seas:

I started with NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Calabria. As mentioned in my review, this helps intensify the colors. I then applied a highlight shade on the lid to prevent the color from sticking in that area. Next, I lightly tapped the blue shade in the crease and outer corner. Finally, I applied the purple shade over the blue, and then used it to blend and soften the edges.

Kauai - gold side only:

I applied the shimmery gold throughout the lid and crease. Then I blended the edges with a light matte brown shade, I used Taupe from the LORAC Pro Palette. Finally, I used a medium matte brown in the crease and outer corner (Sable) and a matte cream shade as the highlight (Cream). I kept it simple here, but I think it would look great with a crisp black winged eyeliner, or a black pencil liner smudged out.

Kauai:

Once again, I applied the shimmery gold throughout the lid and crease. Next I layered the purple shade on top of the gold, just in in the crease and outer corner. Last, I blended out the edge with a light matte brown, Taupe from the LORAC Pro Palette again. I really find that blending the edges of these metallic shades  with a matte shade really makes it feel more complete.
