maybelline spring 2014 dare to go nude collection color tattoos (with comparisons)

I'm not usually one to go on crazy hunts all around the city looking for the newest drugstore makeup collection. However, these just looked so perfect. And it wasn't so much of a hunt as one extra stop that was a little out of the way at Bed, Bath and Beyond...

There are six total shades in the full set of Color Tattoo's in this collection (confirmed limited edition by Nouveau Cheap). I picked up the the three medium shades, Nude Compliment, Sleek & Spice, and Caramel Cool ($5.99 each). All three are smooth & creamy while remaining opaque and long lasting, I think they may have even improved the formula slightly this time. They build easily, I like to use a thin layer first to get a well blended edge, then go back and build up the color in the crease. This makes it almost effortless, I don't have to worry about harsh lines or over blending around the edges.

Nude Compliment is a light taupe that leans brown. Very simple all over lid color with a little eyeliner, or as a base for a slightly darker crease color

Sleek & Spice is slightly darker and warmer with even more brown in it, although I would still call it taupe. Perfect all over color, it's already the first thing I reach for when I'm running behind and need something quick to throw on. It's one of those nice shades that make it look like you tried harder than you actually did.

Caramel Cool was the third shade that I almost didn't get. I don't usually go for colors quite this warm, but that also means I don't have anything like it. (Basically, my fear of regret won.) This is an interesting all over color to use, it is a surprisingly flattering warm golden bronze that makes me think of summer and beaches. I want to play around with using it as a base as well, I think it will have an interesting effect when layered.

I thought these would be more similar to some cream shadows I already own, but they are satisfyingly different.

In order:
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, Make Up Forever Aqua Cream in #15,  Make Up Forever Aqua Cream in #02, Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Skinny Jeans, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Nude Compliment, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Sleek & Spice, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Caramel Cool, Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze (again)
Hopefully these appear in drugstores soon, and don't sell out too quickly, Color Tattoos are one of the best products at the drugstore, their quality surpasses many similar high end products.
