what i packed

I always think it's interesting to see what makeup people like to travel with. I really do try to minimize, taking a lot of smaller sample sizes and only one or two eyeshadow palettes. Keep reading for details, I will link to any products that I have reviews on. Many haven't been reviewed yet, but are probably coming in the future. Face
I decided full coverage foundation was not really necessary for a relaxing trip to see family. I packed a tinted primer which I have been loving and a CC cream sample, along with a setting spray to keep everything put and it really gives a natural finish to the skin. Of course I cannot live without my NARS concealer and translucent powder. I've been trying out a new blush recently which is so easy and neutral for everyday use that it was the only blush I packed. I use my fingers for the base & concealer, so the only brushes I needed were for blush, bronzer, & setting powder.

Eyes
The star here is the LORAC Pro Palette, which I've used almost everyday since I got it about two weeks ago, love the versatility. It was perfect for traveling. Also packed my favorite Chanel cream shadow and eyeliner. Instead of a full size mascara I just packed two sample sizes that I've been trying to use up. My new Edward Bess eye brush is amazing, hardly touched any of the other ones.

Eyebrows
Keeping it pretty simple here. The tinted brow gel is a daily staple for me.

Lips
Really took effort here to only take what made sense. I went with three options to cover all my bases - a tinted balm, a staple neutral lipstick, and a slightly deeper lipstick. They are not shown in the picture because they all ended up in my purse!

Everything is packed in a simple train case that I picked up at Ulta. The pencil case was included and is really convenient for keeping brushes separate. I was very happy with everything I brought with me, and loved the train case for keeping it organized.
