chanel illusion d'ombre long wear luminous eyeshadow in fatal

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Fatal ($36) is something I hesitated buying for quite a while, but I am so glad I finally did. It was released as part of Chanel's holiday collection, and is one of those colors that just brings life to your face. Everything about it is just right, not too much shimmer, not too pink, not too brown. It is so easy to put on in the morning, using just fingers for a sheer wash, or a flat brush to build up the color.

The soft and unique dense mousse-like texture is the same as the other Illusion D'Ombre I own, if anything a little smoother. The sales associate at the counter did warn me that when you think you've closed it, give it another twist just to make sure because they will dry out easily. I do find it creases a little throughout my (long) work days, so I still use a primer underneath and then have no issues.

I think it works incredibly well with brown eyes, my favorite way is with a little black liner and lots of mascara. This also works well patted on top of powder shadow to give it some extra shine.
