I tried so hard to resist the new Chanel Eyeliner in Khaki Precieux ($30), but it finally came home with me. It is a very unique antique golden bronze, with medium toned color. As you can see from my comparisons below, I do not own anything that is similar (this means I was totally justified in purchasing it, right?). It leans closer in tone to gold than bronze. It has a texture that is soft and blendable, but sets and lasts all day. It does tend to get a nice worn in look during the day, which I like. It just becomes a little softer. Don't worry, no raccoon eyes with this! I've been wearing it all week as a simple look with some light matte eyeshadow, Mabelline Color Tattoo in "Tough as Taupe" pairs beautifully, and then this eyeliner all around my eye for quick definition. It is also very flattering to use under your lower lashes with almost any eye makeup. This could easily lend itself to a soft smoky eye as well (loving Lisa Eldridge's video http://youtu.be/w-DXPeNJqq4 - side note, for some reason I enjoy seeing her use the sponge tip to apply the eyeshadow. True talent? Unpretentious?) Overall, a unique shade that pairs easily with a simple eyeshadow and will last well into fall and winter.
