clarins rouge éclat lipstick in chocolate rose

Clarins Rouge Eclat lipstick is one of my absolute favorite lipstick formulas. They aren't cheap at $26 each, but they are worth it. When they first come out, I was sucked in by the color True Aubergine worn by the model in their promo image. Next it was the color Woodrose, which is about as close as I come to coral (it's really not). One of the things that keeps me coming back is that the range is all satin finish, so no obvious shimmer in these.

Now, my third one is Chocolate Rose. This is a great"my lips but better" lipstick for me. It makes my lips look healthy and gives a nice understated pulled together look. The lipstick feels like a lip butter, but with better pigmentation and staying power. They make it to lunch easily for me without a touch up, even with a morning latte. When first applied they are very shiny, but settle into a comfortable satin finish after an hour or so. They have a light sweet fruity smell that does not linger. Even the packaging is luxurious without going overboard. Bottom line, an amazingly comfortable every day formula and color.
